Youth FORCE-Site Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Workforce Development 

Status: Full-Time

Salary: $37,500

Its work is accomplished through three divisions: Workforce Development, Youth and Families, and OIC SI (Social Enterprise Cooperation).

Summary of Services:

Responsible for coordination of the day-to-day operations of the Youth FORCE program at Silver Lakes Middle School. Oversees the seamless delivery of subcontracted services and maintains a safe and supportive environment. Serves as liaison between school administrators and staff to ensure smooth transitions into the program. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development and implementation of student activities, assuring high-quality program services and support to enrolled students and their families
  • Ensures that site staff and programmatic activities comply with Broward County School Board and Florida State Department of Education rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assesses needs of program and students and provide insight into the day-to-day operations, challenges, successes and event planning activities
  • Integrates program activities and coordination among program staff to achieve academic and social outcomes
  • Conducts outreach and coordinates educational events for parents of enrolled students
  • Coordinates tracking and documentation of program activities, including, but not limited to student attendance, site meetings, etc.
  • Collecting and reporting student performance data as required
  •  Acquires additional services and resources for program participants as needed to achieve program objectives
AS SITE COORDINATOR YOU WILL…
Work under the guidance and support of a Program Manager to:

  • Coordinate day-to-day classroom activities with a group of middle school students by guiding educational and life skills lessons and activities through project-based learning
  • Participating and taking an active role in the lesson and project planning process
  • Providing one-on-one and or group tutoring of students in need of additional academic support
  • Implementing identified materials, tools, resources, and activities to address students learning and educational advancement needs
  • Interact with students, student’s family members, student’s day teachers, and community partners to achieve maximum efficiency and overall program success
  • Attend all program related trainings, orientations, and meetings 
 
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred 

Minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience working with opportunity youth and families (High Risk)
Experience in teaching, coaching and mentoring
Experience building and maintaining relationships with service providers and community partners

  • Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior, speech, and dress in a neat, clean, and appropriate professional manner for the assignment and work setting 
  • Have regular and punctual attendance 
  • Follow all OIC policies, work procedures, and reasonable requests by proper authority
