Program Recruitment, Open House & Mental Toughness

Program outreach and recruitment – The YouthBuild Program has an open recruitment model and interested candidates may register online at any time. Interested community partners and supporters may schedule program recruitment at their respective worksites by contacting OIC-SFL YouthBuild at 954-563-8386.

Mental Toughness (MT) – Mental Toughness is a structured 10-day observation period where potential program trainees are introduced to how they can acknowledge and overcome past, present and future obstacles. Participants of Mental Toughness will be introduced to facing personal challenges, leadership development, construction related experiences and team building activities. YouthBuild applicants are accepted into MT by successfully completing steps 1 through 3 of the application process.
 
Mental Toughness is Sessions:
  • Session A: February 8, 2016 – February 19, 2016
  • Session B: August 1, 2016 – August 12, 2016
  • Session C: February 6, 2017 – February 17, 2017
