Amena Threets - Program Coordinator
 
Amena Threets is a Program Coordinator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program and 21st CCLC program at OIC of South Florida. In this position, she supports the Prevention Program Director and Manager by performing duties related to supervising, planning, implementing, directing, program deliverables, mid-year and annual reports, development of work plan objectives, coordinating both the programmatic and operational activities of the TPP, School is Cool and 21st CCLC staff and its subcontractors. She provides assistance in budget management, project development, and grant management. Prior to joining OIC of South Florida, Ms. Threets founded Girls Too Women Inc. a 501 © 3 non-for-profit organization. Where she devoted her passion to motivate and encourage at-risk youth during their path to adulthood through an introduction of strategic ways of thinking.  She provide life skill coaching and social mentoring. Ms. Threets has over 25 years’ of experience working with youth throughout Broward County. She was trained as a certified Educator to deliver evidence base curricula’s Becoming A Responsible Teen (BART), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Within My Reach, Focus on the Youth (FOY), Wyman Teen Outreach Program (TOP), Making Proud Choices (MPC) and All4You2!. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She’s an ordained Chaplain from the National Chaplaincy Association, Victims Services Practitioner with Florida State Attorney General Office, Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), and Wyman Teen Outreach Program (Top). In 2014, Ms. Threets received the Community Involvement Award as School-Based Partner of the Year from Broward County Public School District for OICSFL.

Nema Smith – TPP Lead Educator
 
Nema Smith is a Lead Educator/Community Outreach Coordinator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program at OIC of South Florida. With ten (10) years in this position Mr. Smith supports TPP program delivering evidence base curricula’s Making Proud Choices (MPC), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and All4You2! To middle and high school youth. As a certified Trainer of Trainers (TOT) and Trainer of Educators (TOE) in this position. Mr. Smith facilitate training classes on all of the evidence base curricula’s. Has Twenty-five (25) year of extensive experience in education, training and community outreach. He provides direct services: Mentoring, Coaching, and Training. As well as, deliver a wide range of opportunities that help to facilitate personal, social and educational growth; assisting youth in reaching their full potential. Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Art degree in Sociology from Bethune-Cookman University. He’s an ordained Chaplain from the National Chaplaincy Association. He earned certificates in Professional Crisis Management (PCM), Level of Services/Case Management Inventory (LM/CMI), Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), LGBTQ,  Wyman Teen Outreach Program (Top), Thinking for a Change, National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) and Heads Up Football Safety Coach.
 
As a community change agent, his compassionate unifies various entities in our society. He serves on many different committees: Broward Schools-Teen Parent Alliance, HIV/AIDS advisory board, Community outreach Group, Healthy Mother, Healthy Babies-Me and My Dad Planning committees and his been feature on TBN on several occasions.

Delano Grant - TPP Lead Educator
 
Delano Grant is a Lead Educator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program at OIC of South Florida. In this position Mr. Grant supports TPP program delivering evidence base curricula’s Making Proud Choices (MPC), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and All4You2! To middle and high school youth. As a certified Trainer of Trainers (TOT) and Trainer of Educators (TOE) in this position Mr. Grant facilitate evidence base curricula’s Reducing the Risk, Love Notes and Making Proud Choices trainings to staff and subcontractors. He provide assistance with program weekly attendance, documentation submission enrollment forms and fidelity logs from TPP program educators. Mr. Grant has over 15 years of experience working with youth promoting healthy relationships, abstinence and pregnancy prevention education programs. Through Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, Inc. (Fatherhood Initiative), Mr. Grant has help fathers understand and come to realize the importance and worth of their children’s life. Mr. Grant is an ordained Minister with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Trinity International University.  His passion and joy is to see, listen and talk with youth of today; and challenging them to make better choices for a greater future. Mr. Grant enjoys empowering and encouraging youth, parents, couples, singles, mothers and fathers by presenting at various community events. 
James Boyd - TPP Lead Educator
 
James M. Boyd is a Lead Educator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program at OIC of South Florida. In this position Mr. Boyd supports TPP program by delivering evidence base curricula’s Making Proud Choices (MPC), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and All4You2! To middle and high school youth. The scheduling of educators’ developmental trainings on medical accuracy and Trauma Awareness. As a certified Trainer of Trainers (TOT) and Trainer of Educators (TOE) Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and Reducing the Risk (RTR) curriclua’s.  Mr. Boyd has facilitated and delivered TOE trainings at Urban league of Broward County; and Healthy Relationship classes at Miami Dade College. Mr. Boyd is a license and ordained Minister with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Literature and Minor in Pastoral Ministry. With over 30 years of experience consulting a diverse group of youth and their families. His passion for at risk men of color, has driven him to start male and female mentoring at two local Broward County Public high schools.
Mary Pourch - TPP Educator
 
Mary Pourch is an Educator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program at OIC of South Florida. In this position Ms. Pourch supports TPP program delivering evidence base curricula’s Making Proud Choices (MPC), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and All4You2! To middle and high school youth. Ms. Pourch has provided assistance with OICSFL audio media and photography and developed evidence base curricula’s power point presentations. Ms. Pourch is an energetic individual with many years of experience working with youth and adults of all ages. She earned her degree in Broadcasting. She has certifications as a Substitute Teacher, Certified Nursing Assistance; she’s a licenses Beautician and a freelance writer wrote the book “Your Life Through My Eyes”.
 
FUN FACT: “I love the game of football so much that I once accepted a challenge to try-out and make a football team. Yes, I tried out, practiced hard and got a FULLBACK position on the Miami Fury Women’s Football League. As expected, I won the challenge.”​
David Young - TPP Educator
 
David Young Jr. is an Educator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program at OIC of South Florida. In this position Mr. Young supports TPP program delivering evidence base curricula’s Making Proud Choices (MPC), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and All4You2! To middle and high school youth. He has been with OICSFL for 3 years providing assistance with community mobilization. He has over 13 years of experience working with youth throughout South Florida. David graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Juvenile Justice. Mr. Young enjoys mentoring, providing risky behavior prevention and healthy relationship building skills. Prior to OICSFL, Mr. Young gained over 10 years of valuable working experience with Urban League of Broward County’s First Time Offender program.
 
Fun Fact: Mr. Young values working with youth not for the recognition, but for the lasting positive impact they will hopefully possess for their entire life. 
Nila Williams - TPP Educator/Youth Leadership Council (YLC) Coordinator
 
Nila Williams is an Educator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program at OIC of South Florida. In this position Mrs. Williams supports TPP program by delivering evidence base curricula’s Making Proud Choices (MPC), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and All4You2! To middle and high school youth. Mrs. Williams’s journey with OICSFL begins as a Case Manager. She also coordinator the Youth Leadership Council, which is comprises of teenager who have gone through the TPP program and are being trained as Community Mobilization Leaders in the community. Mrs. Williams has 15 years as teacher including 21 years working with youths and over 7 years of being an entrepreneur. She earned her degree in Education from Mico University and a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Florida International University (FIU), and completed a diploma in theology at the Fire Institute in Boca Raton Florida. Some of her training includes: Understanding Abuse and assault, Documentation Tips, tools & Techniques, CPR/AED/ First Aid training, Harm Reduction/Motivational Interviewing, Building Success into Youth Development programs, Cross system, managing Non- Profits, trauma for teens,  Reducing The Risk for teens Curriculum, Becoming Responsible teens Curriculum, All for You Curriculum, Train the trainer for pathways (employability  Skills), Leadership Development – John Maxwell, Flakka, Child Abuse and Neglect, Understanding LBGTQ. Some of her skills include writing Lesson Plans, Curriculum Development, Over 15 years’ experience in the field, Communications, Presentations/ public speaking, Initiator, trainer, Coaching & Advising, Adult Learning Methodologies, Follow-Up & Problem Solving.

Courtney D.  Tiggett - TPP Educator
 
Courtney D. Tiggett is an Educator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program at OIC of South Florida. In this position Tiggett supports TPP program delivering evidence base curricula’s Making Proud Choices (MPC), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and All4You2! To middle and high school youth. Tiggett delivers evidence-based curriculums that teaches adult preparation topics and implements positive youth development activities. She brings 9 years of experience, passion and commitment from her previous involvement of working with a diverse population of students with various economic, cultural, and social statuses. Tiggett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida Memorial University. She recently contributed as a presenter for Florida Youth Football League’s Teaching Encouraging Achieving Cheer Symposium, as well as OIC’s Flipping the Script Teen Prevention and Intervention Summit in which, she presented on the Dangers of Social Media and Cyberbullying.  She is an active member of Hollywood Jaycees that aids in various community services activities that supports the youth. Tiggett occasionally collaborates as a guest writer and editor for Happily Eating, a food blog based out of Atlanta, GA.

Rose M. Martin – Educator
 
Rose M. Martin is an Educator for Youth and Family Services Division, Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program at OIC of South Florida. In this position Ms. Martin supports TPP program delivering evidence base curricula’s Making Proud Choices (MPC), Reducing the Risk (RTR), Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) and All4You2! To middle and high school youth. Joined (OIC) in 2013 as a Case Manager in the youth and family department serving at-risk youth ages 13-19 in Broward County Schools. Since then, Martin has become an Educator for the Project Pause program teaching several evidence-based curriculums that encompasses Teen Pregnancy Prevention and STI/STD awareness. Martin attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, which has taught her to be sensitive to people of all culture and socioeconomic backgrounds. In addition, she bring 8 years’ experience working and volunteering with the youth population as she enjoys helping and guiding young people towards a brighter future.
 
Fun Fact: Rose is a youth leader at her church where she assists with Sunday school and field trips and activities during the summer.
